I suspect she will lose the case. The technology itself isn’t at fault—obtaining an idea from AI is no different than obtaining it from a book; AI is simply faster and more efficient. The perpetrator exercised his own free will. This doesn’t diminish the loss, but the tool shouldn’t be blamed for its user’s choices. Otherwise, we open a Pandora’s box of blaming technology for every misuse.
Europeans love lecturing Americans about adapting to local customs abroad — yet can’t manage to tip here. Everyone knows U.S. servers rely on tips instead of a living wage. If you can’t afford that, don’t come. Mad about the system? Take it up with restaurant owners — but skipping the tip doesn’t punish them, it punishes your server. As a socialist, you should get that.
