My Open Letter to All Cops:
Look, if you’re a cop, retired or have any vested emotional interest in law enforcement, you come to any of my platforms and feel the need to remind me of my status in law enforcement, let me go ahead and save you some time.
See, the thing is, unlike most cops, retired cops, ex-cops and what not, I will be the first to admit that police officers are a bunch of insecure, self righteous, pissed off men and women who think they have more power than actually given to them. And I was one of the worst of them all.

@Blunt_Betty_ Not a single one. I was fit, trained and skilled. I never abused or used excessive force. When you know what you’re doing and you aren’t an asshole to people, you do the job right.
If you ever had an older sibling would mount you, take your arms by the wrist, make you slap yourself over and over and tell you, “stop hitting yourself!” that’s the children’s version of police “STOP RESISTING!”
I was trained as a cop to yell “STOP RESISTING!” on a suspect to insure that I was breathing, getting oxygen and having a public record for witness bystanders to acknowledge that he was still resisting me.
I now believe that beating someone and telling them to stop protecting themselves against being beaten, was just another way to justify using MORE force on them if I wanted to.

@marineo341 When their weight prevents them from breathing and they escalate to their gun to shoot someone, when a fit cop wouldn’t have to, knowing the Constitution is a moot point.
For over 3 years I’ve been following the case of Demetrius Kern after he was arrested by Cleveland Heights, Ohio police officers for not producing his ID…
Mr. Kern had been falsely arrested and charged after he was almost hit by a police cruiser driven by Officer Carly Lewis, whose video deposition was featured back in January of this year…
That arrest was made primarily at the direction of Officer Lewis’s supervisor, Sgt. Naftali Wolf, whose video deposition was featured in February of this year. At the end of that video, I mentioned that the civil lawsuit against them was still pending, and that the parties were waiting on the judge to rule on the officers’ request for qualified immunity….
