I know of a pastor who doesn’t counsel ladies without his wife.
He doesn’t give ladies a lift, even female ministers, without a man in the car.
He doesn’t hold meetings with just ladies without another male pastor or leader present.
A man/woman without boundaries lacks wisdom.
reached out to a creator for a ugc video and got the “if you’re using the video for paid ads, there’s an additional cost” response.
if i’m commissioning ugc for my brand, what exactly do you think i’m commissioning it for? decoration? 😭
imagine photographer charging me extra because i want to use the product photos they shot for me on my e-commerce website or for promotional graphic designs. because charging me separately after the fact for the primary commercial purpose of the content is where it gets confusing.
are we sure we’re all okay? 😭
When people talk about pay and how they will be able to manage, there's something they forget and that's the "cost of keeping the job"
For example, if you earn 300k, and you work as an associate marketing manager, you can complain about data, you can be offline.
You can complain that there's no light in your area and that's why you didn't do the task.
But once you become a Snr Marketing manager for example, your pay is now 1m naira per month.
You now have to keep your internet running, electricity is a must have gen or solar, your clothing and style must also match the pay so you don't degrade the company you work with.
Now the cost of keeping that job is suddenly 300k per month. The cost of keeping your job used to be around 50k but the promotion comes with more responsibility.
Out of your 1m you now have 700k that is spendable.
This is what happens as your income grows. The cost of maintaining that income is there and we normally do not factor it in.
So if you earn 500k, you will complain, because there are things that will change and increase your cost of living that are not negotiable.
Only someone that has lived with this experience can understand it.
To every other person, e no go really make sense.
Let me give you an example.
The two clients I work with are in Australia, which means I regularly get messages at 12am, and 2am to jump on meetings and fix stuff.
And one of the companies has an open camera policy for meetings.
In June, I randomly got a call from my landlady that they need to pick their panels from their roof. 16 solar panels.
Which meant that I needed a solution to power up my large inverter battery. I had to squeeze out almost 800k to buy 4 panels and install them that month.
Now, I live in an area with Band A light, and there was light at that moment, so it sounds like a stupid purchase right?
At the end of June, the wire on our transformers were stolen so we were without light for 2 weeks, at one of the busiest times at work.
Then in July, my generator started showing signs of wear, AND the sky was super cloudy, so I had to fix my gen again.
Oh and an accident along Iwo Road destroyed over 10 poles, so no light for another 10 days.
Long and short, between June and August, I have spent close to #1.2m on Fuel, Solar and Generator repairs, because I need to be online at 3am for meetings.
I cannot be making excuse of not having light when my invoice reads the number it reads.
In other words @real_POK is more correct that you know.
The higher you go, the more you recognize why there is a difference between revenue and profit.
@FavourYusuf1 The fat paycheck & benefits is not to enjoy life, it's to pay off all unnecessary distractions that will limit productivity.
Companies will pay new employees a sign-on bonus so they can upgrade their lifestyle enough to be fully focused on giving their best
A landlord in my area waived two years' rent for a tenant who had just lost her husband.
He told her to use the money she would have spent on rent to rebuild her life and take care of her children.
A few months later, he came for a routine inspection and noticed unfamiliar faces in the apartment.
They introduced themselves as the woman's flatmates.
She had sublet two rooms in the three-bedroom apartment for ₦700,000 each.
When the landlord confronted her, she replied,
"You gave me the apartment for two years. I thought I was free to use it however I wanted."
The landlord asked her to vacate.
Instead, she sued him, relying on the two-year rent receipt he had issued her free of charge.
Landlord wan run maddd...

A man walked into 5 rooms.
Same man. Same speech. Same room. Only his title changed.
Student → Professor.
Each group estimated his height after he left.
The "professor" was seen as 2.5 inches taller.
Nobody measured anything.
Perception is not passive. It is built.
The brands that scale are the ones that build genuine desire.
This is exactly what we do at Apex Collective.
We help SMBs and startups in the US, UK, and Europe build brands that make audiences feel what they would lose by not acting.
95% of nurses once tried to administer a lethal drug dose because a "doctor" told them to over the phone.
They broke 4 major hospital rules to do it.
This is the terrifying power of the Authority Principle.
At Apex Collective, we close that gap. We don't just help you look the part; we help you engineer authority signals that are real, consistent, and layered.
