No country should be allowed to host the World Cup while imposing discriminatory rules on qualified and participating teams.
This ought to be a very basic requirement.
we were told that 2010 was the worst World Cup because it was being held in South Africa, we were told that the World Cups in Russia and Qatar are going to be the worst because they were being held in authoritarian countries.
We were told that USA would be the best host for WC because it is a democracy and has the best NFL stadiums.
All these narratives were set by the media which wanted us to hate on countries which are not in Western hemisphere.
giving the world cup to the usa was a stupid decision.
this tournament was supposed to bring the world together. instead we’re talking about shootings, visa issues, travel restrictions and whether fans from certain countries will even be able to attend
I get money for anything you wanna eat and drink when you come over
I get money for taking US out to places I wanna see as well
I get money for affording soft lifestyle for myself( you can tag)
I no get money for wigs, to change your phone or your family issue, or back to back craving or clubbing for Snapchat aesthetics!!
I personally want Obi as Nigeria’s president so people can see that you can be upright, be respectful, be a Nigerian, be law-abiding, have no criminal case and still win in Nigeria. Obi’s presidency is good for Nigeria’s moral compass.
I live in the UK 🇬🇧 and this this is what I pay monthly for unlimited internet data. Carl Toriola publicly lied!!!
The problem Nigeria have is that the politicians are the big stakeholders in these big family utility companies (like MTN, DSTV, etc) and they will never allow good policies that would benefit consumers/customers to be made because of their own outrageous gains/greediness.
END OF DISCUSSION!
This is how far Nigeria don sink.
For normal countries, unlimited data na normal thing. You fit backup your phone once, ten times, one hundred times, nobody send. Your phone dey work for you.
For Nigeria, we don reach stage where telecom CEO dey advise citizens make dem switch off auto-backup and auto-updates so dem fit manage data.
Think about that for one second.
The solution no be cheaper data.
The solution no be better networks.
The solution no be more competition.
The solution dem dey offer na: “Use less internet.”
Imagine buying a car and the manufacturer tell you make you no drive am too often so fuel no go finish.
Imagine buying a fridge and being advised to switch am off most of the day so electricity bill no go wound you.
Now imagine buying a smartphone in 2026 and being told not to back up your data.
Wetin come be the purpose of the smartphone?
The saddest part be say many Nigerians don normalize this level of decline. Dem see something wey for any functioning country go cause national outrage, and dem treat am like ordinary life advice.
No, e no normal.
A country where citizens must ration software updates, ration cloud backups and ration basic internet usage because data don become luxury item no be country wey dey move forward.
Na country wey dey adjust itself to failure instead of fixing the problem.
Why does the President hardly ever address the nation despite the relentless insurgency, kidnappings, and insecurity that Nigerians face every day?
People are being killed. Children are being abducted. Communities are living in fear.
In many countries, leaders speak directly to their citizens during moments of crisis to reassure them, explain actions being taken, and show that they understand the pain of the people.
The silence is becoming as disturbing as the insecurity itself.
Are Nigerians not human beings?
I was in this world briefly. 3/4 months. I’m
not talking barstool/mcafee stuff, this was a different level of money. If you have been to Anjuna the day after F1 Monaco, or Annabelle’s you know. I didn’t belong one bit. I felt like I was seeing a James Bond movie in real life. Cool to see but I was just not made for it. I went for a run one day with someone’s wife staying at the house I was at and I made a joke that I’m still going to be in shape like Tom Brady at 40+ bc I stretch everyday and her exact quote was “I don’t know who that is, I spend most of my time painting” I got lost in Monaco with a girl and couldn’t get a cab back to cap ferret and had to pay 20k for one night at a hotel and they had a bubble bath ready before I even got into the room. There really is a different level of the world where you fully would never ever fit in.
