Around 3:30am, CSPFD responded to a report of smoke in the area of 5400 Godfrey Road. Upon arrival, crews located a fully engulfed 2 story home. No one was home at the time of the incident. Crews are still on scene putting out hotspots. The cause is still under investigation.

The Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department attended the Fallen Firefighter Memorial Service in Ocala, Florida this morning to honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice this past year. Our honor guard, pipes and drums, and command staff participated in this annual event.

Great job to the crews of Station 43 for helping rescue an individual who was stuck in their attic for hours. Crews were able to free the weak patient and safely lower him back through the attic door. The patient was transported to the hospital for further evaluation.

At approximately midnight on August 12, a Polk County Fire Rescue ambulance was involved in a single-vehicle accident.
Four members of PCFR were transported to a local medical facility.
