Boy has my blocking function had a massive workout today.
Good morning to those of you who have empathy for 10 yr old children who -87% have not been convicted of a crime and spend an average of 71 days in prison without conviction on remand. When they get in front of a magistrate most are found innocent of a crime.
And around 93% have post traumatic stress but Govts don’t do basic mental health screening when they come to prison.
Most of these kids being thrown in prison who are innocent of crimes are Indigenous but “youth crime epidemic; Aboriginal people can’t parent our kids blah blah blah”
Oh and they are also regularly isolated for up to 22 hrs in their prison cells and self harm as a result-but all good -let’s throw em in a boot camp too.
As for the parents ask Cleveland Dodd’s parents and many other ABORIGINAL parents who desperately tried for the system to release their kids who are ON REMAND-ie NOT CONVICTED of a crime.
But-no; no racism here. It’s all about Aboriginal people being more likely than white people to be criminals-no police have ever racially profiled an Aboriginal person-ever…pity the stats say the complete opposite of that fantasy.
Have a lovely Sunday -those who have compassion for babies being put in prison
The rest of you will just be blocked so enjoy your 30 seconds of posting racist nonsense
For those trying to rewrite history & paint Victoria's response to Covid19 as a trigger-happy control manoeuvre, this testimony by a British crit care colleague is a salient reminder of what we were trying to avoid. A runaway death toll, & an overwhelmed hospital system.
I can't get over this.
PAs in Queensland can administer IV OPIATES, despite not being registered with APHRA, the Australian mega-regulator.
Moreover, Queensland has something called QScript, which captures the use of 'monitored medicines' in real time.
PAs appear to be

Here's my problem with UTI pharmacy trials. The privileged people can afford to pay the pharmacist but are not the ones likely to die from antibiotic-resistant bugs. The rich(& pharmacists)get benefits & the poor wear the cost.Prescribing on algorithm should be out of scope for all
@DrJenGunter skip it. head straight for the pilbara or the kimberley. karijini national park should not be missed. and the kimberley is like nowhere else. long way but worth it.
Is this a serious question? I’ll assume it is. Let me explain.
You go to the GP a with a sore throat.
GP talks to you, examines you and feels it’s nothing serious.
GP sends you away but gives you weirdly strict safety-net advice for a sore throat.

“Refuting bs with Peter Collignon & Neil Mitchell” - a long 🧵
This🧵is a labour of rage - rage against MSM dangerous disinformation propaganda, in this case Nine Entertainment’s radio 3AW & specifically Neil Mitchell’s (NM) interview last week with Peter Collignon (PC)
So I’ve now had the predictable comment that these Indigenous votes represent a lack of informed consent-that ppl were voting for a free tshirt and didn’t understand what they were voting for. I’m truly disgusted but not surprised.
Here’s my response:
“the suggestion that Indigenous votes are not legitimate and can be dismissed as not representing their genuine views. When remote mob take the time to register to vote then often travel miles to cast their vote it should be more respected. Not dismissed.
If there is evidence of voter tampering that you have, then perhaps provide that. The data links are above.
Hard data.
Btw Many non Indigenous voters voted based on being misinformed as to what they were even voting for -it doesn’t make their efforts to cast their votes illegitimate -that’s a democracy. There’s plenty of evidence saying the vast majority were voting based on factual falsehoods.
So in essence; in your mind; the non Indigenous votes represent informed voter consent but the Indigenous vote represents coercion?
History has consistently denied us a voice -and we’ve been told our voices don’t matter; so to be finally invited to the table to vote on a voice these votes should be seen as counting the most out of anyone’s.
This is a Truly dangerous rhetoric and I make no apologies for strongly challenging it
This should break anyone’s heart. Our most vulnerable, highest risk
Remote Aboriginal communities clearly endorsing the voice. We will be working on this more
1. Heavily indigenous booths in Qld have voted yes as follows: Palm Island 75%, Thursday Island 74%, Lockhart River 66%, Pormpuraaw 56%.
2. .In the NT, booths managed by the remote mobile teams consisting of a higher proportion of Indigenous Australians returned a Yes of 71.9%..The rest of the NT was 32.6%.
3. More analysis need, but it's clear Indigenous support is overwhelmingly Yes. Don't believe the lies.
4. Preliminary analysis In Bob Katter's seat of Kennedy, shows polling booths with a catchment of more than 50% Indigenous Australians returned a Yes of 69.5%. The rest of Kennedy returned a Yes of 18.5%.
5. It seems that the ~80% figure of Indigenous support was right
All the voting data is available from the AEC's tallyroom website (here: https://t.co/OyVNuJSiXx)
As for the data on Indigenous levels, the ABS website and its Census portal, plus the AEC's site for its maps of all electorates ... Narrowing down all the various booths, and their Indigenous levels, took a while!
With thanks to Shane Wright from the age
We acknowledge the many non-Aboriginal people who support us and are also hurting with the referendum result.
Thank you for your solidarity 💪🏽
This graphic is mob and ally friendly.
Feel free to share it to show your support 🖤💛❤️
if you voted YES today and are feeling sad and disappointed right now please do not give up. being an ally for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people involves much more than just one vote. here is a list of just 10 of many things you can do. 🧵 #AlwaysWasAlwaysWillBe
First Nations people issued a letter to all Australians, called ‘statement from the heart’. They asked to be recognised in the constitution. In a national vote the people of Australia overwhelmingly rejected them. #TheVoice For those who never bothered reading it before voting, here it is…
After a long campaign I feel for our country today. I have regularly asked myself what are “no voters” celebrating. What in their minds is being achieved for our most disadvantaged & vulnerable Australians.
I have not been able to get an answer to that from any no voter which doesn’t find it’s place in fear, hate, anger.
And that just makes me sad.
#VoteYes2023
I voted an open hearted, open minded Yes today.
My reason is for us to acknowledge the simple fact that these lands were populated before we became the Australia we know
The Voice aspect I hope to see reinforce and support the existing NIAA
Hope over fear 🙏❤️
This is why we need the Voice.
In 2016 a National organisation's decision around Shingles vaccination did not consider First Nations people. Almost 7 years later there is finally equitable access. Embed the Voice in the Constitution and these decisions might not take so long.
Again — here's how the No sausage is made. Albo debunks disinformation spread by opponents of The Voice — opponents of The Voice then edit the video down and spread it all over social media. Same as Ray Martin video, same as Marcia Langton video, etc — always bullshit.
The core strategy of the No campaign is to lie to and manipulate Australians. They're on the record admitting this — just as Liberals are on the record saying they need to sink The Voice to have a chance at the next election. Don't let them fool you — find out.
