And then when you get called up to do those races your “race grade” affects if your gonna get picked up by a good team from the manufacture or a lower grade team with that manufacture.

I like the idea of starting out in Cars Tour with no manufacture stickers and having to work towards getting a manufacturer sponsor.
To then getting a call up to a high series because your a development driver for whatever manufacturer you chose.

NASCAR 27 Career Mode idea:
You race do a 5 race mini series in late models and your grade determines your development contract. Ex, you score an A and you get a JGR contract. Some paths will be different depending on who signs you. So JGR your route would be ARCA, O'Reilly, CUP
