한경미디어그룹의 블록체인 전문 계열사인 블루밍비트가 가상자산(암호화폐) 투자자들의 최대 관심사였던 미국 비트코인 현물 상장지수펀드(ETF)의 승인 소식을 국내에서 가장 빠르게 보도한것으로 확인했다고 15일 밝혔다.

블루밍비트는 11일 오전 5시 45분 미국 증권거래위원회(SEC)가 비트코인 현물 ETF를 승인했다고 보도했다. 이는 미국 현지 주요 경제매체들보다 평균 41분가량(홈페이지 기사 송출시간 기준) 빠른 속도였다. 국내 주요 매체들은 블루밍비트 보도 후 동일 보도가 나오기까지 평균 1시간 11분이 소요됐다.

특히 블루밍비트의 이번 보도는 언론사 홈페이지 뿐만 아니라 금융기관이나 기관투자자들이 상당한 비용을 지불하고 사용하는 ‘금융정보 단말기’와 비교해서도 최대 8분 이상 빠르게 보도한 것으로 알려졌다.
