If you’ve ever watched your plans change and discovered something better on the other side, I think this one will resonate with you.

Not just the ranch.
The family.
The memories.
The values.
The legacy.
I just shared a new video inside Legacy Builders called:
“The Life I Wanted vs. The Life God Gave Me”
Some of God’s greatest blessings arrive disguised as detours.
The friendships.
The generosity.
The shared knowledge.
The lessons learned through the challenges.
None of this happened in the order I expected.
But I wouldn’t trade it.
Because what we’re building now matters.
If you had told me years ago that this would be my life, I probably wouldn’t have believed you.
But I’ve learned something through this journey:
Just because life doesn’t unfold the way you planned doesn’t mean it isn’t unfolding exactly the way it’s supposed to.
Every day we still drive out to our animals.
We haul feed.
We haul water.
We collect eggs.
We fix fences.
We solve problems.
And we’re building all of this while standing on someone else’s land.
My wife, my boys, a few chickens, some goats, and a dream of building something meaningful started pulling me in a completely different direction.
Today, we’re building a ranch.
The funny part?
We haven’t even found our forever property yet.
A few years ago, if you had asked me what my future looked like, I would have painted a very different picture.
I was a city guy.
I loved business, growth, opportunity, and the idea of living that high-rise lifestyle while chasing the next big goal.
Then something changed.
Every single day.
Every. Single. Day. 😆
I climb this hill with feed, water, and whatever else these girls need…
If you’re building something meaningful of your own, come join us.

If you've ever found yourself chasing one dream only to discover something better along the way, I think you'll connect with this one.
The link is in my bio. I'd love to hear what you think.
I just released a new video inside Legacy Builders called:
"The Life I Planned vs. The Life I Love"
It's one of the most personal videos I've shared so far, and it's all about how my definition of success changed over the years.
Then somewhere along the way, my wife, my boys, and a handful of chickens changed everything.
Funny enough, the chickens were never really the story.
They just helped me discover what matters most.
A few years ago, if you had asked me where I'd be today, I probably would have described something completely different.
I went to school for psychology.
I spent years coaching, building businesses, chasing opportunities, and pursuing what I thought success looked like.
Was trying to get Onyx back over from the boys’ side… meanwhile Nikki just wanted attention the whole time.
Moments like this are a good reminder that ranch life is never really as simple or as organized as you think it’s gonna be. There’s always something happening

Watching Nikki become a mom has honestly been wild.
You start noticing little things… the way she acts different, carries herself different, protects differently. These animals really do teach you a lot if you slow down enough to pay attention.
A lot of people probably see the ranch videos and think:
“Man, that’s cool… but that life isn’t really for me.”
And honestly? I get that.
But this community was never about goats, feed, fencing, or ranching.
It’s really about building something meaningful with those you love
@GaryPetersonUSA It’s honestly just sad that anyone would get something like this permanently put on their body…
I remember Bill Engvall saying that he wished stupid people had a sign… appears some of them do 😆😆😆
Wyoming wind doesn’t care about your plans.
So we stopped fighting it and started adapting with what we’ve got.
Scrap fencing, feed cans, and a little problem solving.
Full video in my Skool.

Feed time around here is basically controlled chaos.
The second they hear the truck at the gate, it’s over. Everybody’s sprinting, climbing, yelling, and acting like they haven’t eaten in 3 weeks.
Man… I love it though.

I thought these alfalfa bales totaled around 140 lbs…
Turns out they’re closer to 170.
So apparently ranch life comes with surprise workouts too.
The funny part is… the work never really ends out here.
