@LiskO_UK@vidIQ Oh yes...totally agree!!! The coaching is exorbitant especially when you have to pay the $1200 up front with no guarantee or refund if you cancel early.
@LiskO_UK@vidIQ There are a lot of people who would LOVE to have 180k views in a year. I think the point is they wouldn't have had even that if they hadn't had help. Is it a rocket-ship story? No, but it's a hell of a lot better than the majority of creators out there are doing!
@vidIQ I am not an affiliate or get anything from VidIQ but let me tell you their AI coach is AMAZING! I've used ChatGPT extensively since the creation of my channel but the deep thinking AI coach (I have Boost so have been using for a couple weeks) blows it out of the water!!!!
@vidIQ Unlike many, I do not think AI generated (as in 100% AI generated) content is going to rule. Too many people watch YT to see real people, doing real things. AI content is fun and I think there is/will be a place for it but it won't take over.
@AurVhal@vidIQ I think this is correct, I already do use AI extensively in ideation and optimization. I think this will mean even new channels will start out looking more polished right off the bat. Not sure if that is a good thing or not.
@vidIQ There is a large element of luck that no amount of brilliant ideas, amazing titles and TNs, consistency, or quality is going to influence. Well, maybe consistency because if you keep at it you have a better chance of getting lucky. π€£
@vidIQ All well and good for someone who has made millions and doesn't need the revenue to be altruistic like this. But I do feel like this sends a message that no one should be using them and those who are are taking advantage of their audience which is unfair.
@vidIQ I LOVE that he says this!!! There is SO much luck involved in the game of social media and very few people are willing to admit it. Yes, it takes work too but there is for sure an element of luck no one talks about or even says isn't true.
@vidIQ Easier said than done I think. The thing that makes us unique is our personalities, in a lot of cases, and the algorithm can't detect that. Wouldn't it be great if it could. Oh you like sarcastic, self-deprecating homesteaders...you should watch this person. π€£
@vidIQ I was seeing a lot of this in my recommendations feed a couple months ago but it's actually stopped I haven't seen one in a long time. It didn't bother me but I can see how it would some people and it's ridiculous creators can't turn it off.
@TeslaFamilyYT @vidIQ Agree! it doesn't help with discoverability on browse or any of the normal places so really what is it for? Plus they aren't making a big deal about it so no one even knows it exists.
@vidIQ for 4, I'd add, or creators who are well-established with 10-100s of thousands of subs, whether they have a team or not! Or really with anyone. All journeys will look different and comparing yourself is pointless.
@vidIQ Probably fairly equal but since what I film are tasks accomplishing other things it doesn't feel quite as "wasted" as editing time does. if that makes sense?
