本日、松本デジタル大臣と初めてお会いし、デジタル変革やAI、デジタル技術を用いた行政サービスの向上について意見交換しました。

両国は #日英デジタル・パートナーシップ などを通じ安全なAIの開発を含む未来の技術への共同投資を進めており、本分野での協力の一層の深化を今後も期待しています。

欧州出張、一か国目は英国です。

ジョナサン・レイノルズ英国ビジネス・イノベーション・科学・貿易大臣と面会し、日本成長戦略やCPTPPについて意見交換しました。「強化されたグローバル戦略的パートナー」である英国政府との信頼関係を強化してまいります。

また、現地企業への講演・意見交換や投資家との議論、スタートアップ視察を通じ、日本が今、経済政策を大きく転換しており、英国企業にとっても新しいビジネスチャンスとなり共に成長を追求できることをご説明しました。

今回の滞在で官民双方と非常に有意義なコミュニケーションを行うことができました。日本成長戦略に基づく具体的案件の組成によって、日本と英国それぞれの成長が実現し、両国関係の更なる深化につながるよう取り組んでまいります。

駐日英国大使館にて「ウクライナ復旧・復興に向けた日英連携パネルディスカッション」が開催され、レセプションに出席しました。

冒頭に、この度着任されたロバートソン次期駐日英国大使を歓迎した上で、早速にこうした貴重な機会を設けていただいたことに感謝申し上げました。

英国は価値観を共有する重要なパートナーであり、政府間や議員間交流はもちろん、企業間の交流も活発化しています。更にウクライナ支援という点でも連携の余地は大いにあります。

英国、ウクライナ両国の大使ともじっくり話をすることができ、大変有意義な機会となりました。

It was a pleasure to welcome His Majesty's Ambassador designate to Japan, Ms @CorinRobertson CMG, to Leonardo's Edinburgh site.

During her visit, discussions focused on the strong partnership between the UK and Japan, and the role Leonardo's Edinburgh team plays in delivering advanced integrated sensing and communications capability for the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP).

The visit included a tour of our facilities, showcasing the world leading laser, radar and electro-optic technologies being developed at our Edinburgh site.
