@bennyjohnson Could you explain further in what sense you are a victim here? You benefitted from a criminal conspiracy. Even if you did not yourself commit a crime, can you explain what makes you a victim?
@RubinReport Could you explain further? I get that you are saying that you didn't have the necessary knowledge and state of mind to have committed a crime. But you also got paid. You benefitted from the crime, even if unwittingly. In what sense are you a victim?
@MaybellRomero Although it kinda looks like there are no DMs anymore and I can't post my real life contact info without breaking kayfabe, so maybe I am just stuck in this hell forever
@RMFifthCircuit For real, though, who is supposed to do this work? Congress? Did Judge Ho just tell the Congress that it is now in the permit issuing business? And if he did, how is Congress issuing permits to specific entities not a bill of attainder?
@RMFifthCircuit Wait, so who can issue these licenses related to regulating nuclear materials, if not the Nuclear By-God Regulatory Commission? What next, the Environmental Protection Agency has no mandate to protect the environment?
Oh. That is the next step, isn't it?
@kate_blackley@ODriscoll1bill Oh shit, graffiti artists don't like being told what to do or hierarchical control of the graffiti park? And they responded by doing illegal/antisocial things that they knew would piss off people who asserted authority? Who could have foreseen such an outcome?
Was just in line in front of a guy in a Napoli's shirt who was picking up his order at Aiello's, which is somewhat hilarious in the context of the Squirrel Hill pizza wars.
@AnthonyMKreis When I lived in Montgomery, there were multiple newspapers that only published mug shots. It was thoroughly clear that the only purpose was to gawk at people in their lowest moments. Just revolting.
@maggiewittlin@AnthonyMKreis Yeah, but what seems to actually be happening is that it is being demonstrated that very few people actually care about humane treatment of criminal defendants generally and are all for inhumane treatment of people they don't like in particular.
I really like the idea that back when everyone was picking surnames someone said, "I'll be Smith, because I work with iron," and someone said, "I'll be Fisher, because I am a fisherman," and one guy said, "well, I am a lot like a cured hog, but clever."
1/ Prof Cunningham @GeorgiaStateLaw On GA electors incriminating Trump: "There are three of the so-called fake electors that are still left to be prosecuted: Latham Stills Shafer." https://t.co/kVlpfMjNuE
@ChristaLaser@K_NoiseWaterMD I think there is a set of law (and really probably a bunch of other academic areas) professors who feel really unjustly attacked because people don't agree that it is perfectly fine for them to fuck all the students they want. They want to expose the injustice.
@kyledcheney Ok, but isn't there a distinction between being there doing your official duties while the President is engaged in a political/personal endeavor and actually participating in the political/personal endeavor?
