@PremierScottMoe Put. It. In. The. Contract!!!!!
This looks good on paper but can be clawed back in a year and then we are right back where we started. You and your government have proven that you can't be trusted on this issue. Contract = Accountability.
“I used to say: ‘I like to watch TikTok, or YouTube.’ But I don’t really like to describe myself that way anymore. Because if you think about it, that’s not really something you do. It’s just something that pulls you in. It made me feel connected. Like, I know this person. But I really didn’t know them at all. And I’d sit at home getting sucked into this endless void of whatever I was watching. Windows closed, AC on. My dad would say: ‘Go outside and do something, it builds character.’ Most of the time he’d only say it because he wanted me to take out the trash, or go on an errand with him. So for a long time I didn’t think it meant anything. But it really does, if you think about it. Because every time you do something, it adds to who you are. You learn from life. Recently I joined a group called The Veggie Nuggets. There’s seven of us: me, my friends, a couple neighbors. We made a mural. We made a garden over by 69th and the bridge. We lobbied a little bit at the capital for climate change, because it’s kinda a disaster. I had to develop a certain mindset when I did those things. I had to affirm to something. I had to be motivated. And that’s a real thing-- motivation. It’s a trait. And now it’s part of my character.”
WOW! Thousands of you showed your support for public education on Saturday. ✊
THANK YOU to everyone who gathered at the rally to show our government that investing in our kids matters.

My mom (who knows v little about AI but has always been intrigued by it) likened AI to "junk/fast food" - and this actually resonated - given how fast it can write a paragraph or an essay, but it's actually "empty nutritional value" and you don't experience the joy of cooking
A couple years ago, my parents moved onto an acreage. The place-based prairie history lover in me was intrigued by the old dugout at the back of the property and the rusting three strand fence line. What stories did this barbwire hold?

I’ve spent a lot of time contemplating just how much to integrate the feedback of others – it's always important to consider, of course. And here’s where I’ve landed (again) today: you’re always going to be “too something” for someone.
Other than being a photo of a beautiful prairie summer day and an adorable dog, this is also a grid road with a story:
Both quarter-sections of land on either side of this road were first purchased/patented by the “alluring widow” Maria Latham in the 1890s…
What does a CPR promotional booklet, a horse-powered threshing outfit, a fence line, and a ‘Queen’ have in common?
You’ll have to see the upcoming winter edition of the Folklore Magazine to find out!
