Ending the Stigma. Sharing the Facts. Educating, connecting, and advocating legal access to cannabis for wellness purposes and responsible adult-use in Ireland.
Gardai value one cannabis plant at €800 irrespective of its size or stage of development.
When you see headlines like "Gardai seize €4,800 worth of cannabis plants" it's meaningless.
Do not be fooled by the spin we are about to witness. The @CitizAssembly assembly has failed to enact change. It has failed the people of Ireland and it has failed out most vulnerable by maintaining prohibition.

@CitizAssembly This doesn't mean anything. No one can magically appear next to someone to tell them not to take drugs. A safe, regulated market, a total end to criminalisation as well as the stigmatising assumption that every drug user is an addict/misuser is the only way forward. Outrageous.
@thomaskerin@r_crainn@little_cbd@NatalieORegan1@TweeterReynolds @Fweed_ @Rubberbandits@caaireland @b_minish If I recall right, I spent a year or more making contact & only received copied & pasted blurbs. Can't begin to describe how disheartening it was to be continually ignored & dismissed. Unfortunately I've had to walk away from all forms of engagement due to ongoing health matters.
@Ginosocialist @AodhanORiordain @SenLynnRuane - motion agreed @sdublincoco calling for the decriminalization of drug use! drug policy failing its way past time for a new approach!
“We should know how to use cannabis,” public health minister Anutin Charnvirakul, the country’s biggest marijuana booster, said recently.
“If we have the right awareness, cannabis is like gold, something valuable, and should be promoted.”

Enjoying your morning coffee or three?
It’s worthwhile sharing this again and asking how you - as someone who regularly consumes this psychoactive drug - feel about the language used here.

When are the Gardai, media, judges and government going to ask themselves:
"Is this really worth dragging someone through the courts, publishing their name and address in the media, and potentially ruining their lives?"

In reality, the plants are only worth what the seeds cost. The fruits of the plant aren't worth anything until they're removed, dried and cured. Even then, a gram of cannabis is not worth €20 anywhere in the world.
6 seeds (depending on the strain) cost as little as €20-€30.

1) Little Collins officially challenges any current TD to spend just one day - 8 hours - in either of our Dispensaries and conclude that this product is not doing the world of good for a broad demographic of regular Irish people.
Yesterday in Galway was incredibly humbling.

Much to the chagrin of ‘project fear’ prohibitionists, yet another study has found that legalising cannabis has no effect whatsoever on the number of young people who use it.

Use of recreational cannabis may be fully decriminalized in Israel
