Some random trivia:
If the Springboks win the World Cup, (I so want to say ‘when’) we will be the first country with 4 World Cups.
We would remain the only country to never lose a final. 4 finals.
We would be the only country to win two World Cups in the same country on FOREIGN soil (2007 in France, 2023 in France). New Zealand won two of theirs on home ground. The first in 1987, second in 2011.
(The All Blacks won two thirds of their World Cups at home. The Springboks won two thirds of their World Cups on foreign soil).
A win means three quarters of our World Cups would have been won on foreign soil.
The Boks would be the second country to win back to back titles after the ABs.
But all this pales in comparison to the fact that we would have had the toughest path to a final win in the history of World Cup sports, because we would have played all top 6 ranked countries on our way to winning the Cup.
We played the number 6th, 5th, 4th, 3rd and 2nd ranked sides in the world.
All the best to the Boks, looking forward to today. Regardless of how things turn out today, I am incredibly proud of them.
To be clear, I have unwavering faith in our Boks.
I am very happy to report that Glyphosate, and its use in viticulture and farming, is being debated at length on two major wine forums.
The toxic chemicals used to produce your glass of wine should be debated.
Big news: new genetic evidence shows that the grapevine was domesticated in two locations, and 3000 years earlier than previously thought https://t.co/eWt9RqsUGx
