@SamHarrisOrg@gcaw Claiming the odds of being in a plane crash or mass shooting does not merit modifying behavior. Yet, a gun is necessary to defend against a home invasion?! What are the odds of being the victim of that? Having an alarm system reduces your risk. There are more obvious solutions.
@GadSaad Wait... but wearing masks is still the prudent action... I'm unable to read the level of sarcasm here. Obviously, this is not a patriotic act, but a rational one. 😜
@NatashaBellows@AnthonyGermain Extra caution isn't a terrible idea given this is the first case of COVID in a school. I truly hope for no extra cases to come from this. I also hope we can manage future school cases without shutting the system down. My kids didn't do well with lockdown, school has helped. 🙂
@NatashaBellows@AnthonyGermain I understand people wanting to protect their kids. I'm concerned about some people overreacting and creating unnecessary panic. Actual risk vs perceived risk.
@GadSaad "Irrational hatred for inconsequential people". Is this brain parasite covered in your book? If not, perhaps in "A Parasitic Mind, Volume II"?
@bobhallett @CityofStJohns I believe the city is free to decide to do what is believes is most prudent with its own plans. Generally, I don't believe the city can control what happens inside a private business.
