"I've always had a bit of an obsession with self-improvement. I want to become someone who truly understands everything I love while I'm still as young as possible. So whenever I have free time, I fill my schedule with learning something.
For exercise, I play golf and tennis often. I study languages and gain knowledge in fields that interest me. If I get into watches, I learn about watchmaking. If I become fascinated with photography, I read books on photographic techniques. I also take instrument lessons.

There's one thing all my interests have in common, they all have a high barrier to entry, and there's no clear finish line. I think that's just the kind of person I am. Rather than things that end easily, I'm drawn to things that can make me feel like a fool every single day, no matter how much I study them. That's also why I read philosophy. It's incredibly difficult, but if I keep reading, I notice myself improving little by little. The book I enjoyed most recently was A Heart That Never Backs Down."

🍙 i’ve said before that i’ve been very shy since I was young. to overcome that, I intentionally did embarrassing or unusual things. it was like a form of training for me. I guess it worked, because now I don’t really feel embarrassed even if I do something funny in front of other people. even now, i’ll suddenly strike a muscle pose in front of the members. they all find it funny.

-It is extremely rare for just one person to make a decision or lead. That is an individual's opinion, not the team's. When we have something to discuss, we start with brainstorming. We listen to each other's opinions and make decisions as a team.

This might seem inefficient to others but I believe strength comes not from individual members raising their voices but from everyone coming together and saying "This is ENHYPEN's decision". It's not just Jay, it's ENHYPEN's Jay.

The premise of our team is that every decision is made with the attitude of an Enhypen member, not just "myself".
