@MadDuck68317982 The sooner we get rid of Gwede Mantashe the better. He has failed the mining industry, he has failed mining communities. He has been a catastrophe. His legacy is one hubris, arrogance and destruction.
Maybe the time has come for former members of the apartheid-era security forces to reveal who the “apartheid agents” are among the current ANC leadership that former President Thabo Mbeki referred to.
This would be appropriate, as these agents are now @MYANC leaders participating in the targeting of Afrikaners and Afrikaans speakers through the BELA Act, which seeks to destroy Afrikaans schools. The same agents also refuse to condemn the “Kill the Boer” chant, which calls for ethnic violence, and continue to support expropriation without compensation. #Kenako #NowIsTheTime

Brutal farm attack last night. Farmer and his wife in critical condition in hospital.
The Heidelberg community is deeply shocked after a brutal farm attack on the well-known couple Jan and Elna Dhooge of Schikfontein, which took place on Tuesday evening, 28 October, at around 23:00.
According to reliable sources, five armed and masked attackers attacked the Dhooge couple at their home.
Elna went outside at around 23:00 - the reason for this is unknown - where she was overpowered. Her screams attracted Jan's attention, but before he could go out, the attackers had already entered the house and shot him. Jan was shot in the neck and pretended to be dead - an act that probably saved his life, together with the darkness that obstructed the attackers' vision.
Elna was severely assaulted and suffered multiple facial and head injuries. The attackers then ransacked the entire house and loaded Jan’s white Mahindra Pik-Up single-cab bakkie with valuables, before fleeing the scene. Firearms and the couple’s cellphones were stolen, among other things.
The stolen Mahindra, with registration number KJ54 VL GP, was found abandoned later that night on the R23 in the direction of Balfour, near Hoërskool JW Luckhoff. However, the suspects and stolen goods were already missing.
Emis Security was quickly on the scene and, together with SAPS Heidelberg, LVE, GPF, AfriForum, and several local volunteers, provided excellent cooperation. The Heidelberg Volunteer Medics and First Responders stabilized the couple at the scene before they were transported to Life Suikerbosrand Hospital, where both are currently being treated for serious injuries.
Johan Deminey, owner of the neighboring farm, was first on the scene and stayed with the injured couple until help arrived. According to him, the couple was conscious.
The police are investigating the case and have confirmed that a major search is underway for the attackers.
The Dhooge couple are respected and beloved members of the Heidelberg community, and the attack has sparked great dismay and anger among residents and the farm community.
In celebration of the three-year anniversary of @elonmusk's purchase of this platform (tomorrow), here is our inaugural @XSpaces chat from 2024. The episode has been edited to remove the parts wherein technical difficulties arose. Thank G-d for Elon!
