While Americans continually voice their concerns about rampant abuse in assistance programs for refugees, 192 House Republicans STILL voted to keep nearly $5 BILLION in taxpayer-funded refugee welfare flowing. Only 24 Republicans had the guts to stand up and say no.
When it counted, 192 Republicans sided with the DC Swamp, not with you.

@benlandautaylor No. Put the universities on the hook for all or portion of student loan. They won’t want the risk and will finally cut costs, lower tuition, so there is less debt involved to begin with.
@pulte Horrible idea. Focus on the real problem which is supply of money. Stop spending more than govt takes in. This is why addition Al money is created.
How I would fix america:
- Social security qualification has to go up.
I would raise it to 70, but gradually.
Every year it goes up by 3 months, starting with people under 60.
60 year olds get what was promised, benefits at 65.
everyone else has to wait a little longer.
- Change medicare into an OPT IN, single payer system.
Anyone, from 18 year olds to 64 year olds, can at ANY POINT opt into medicare.
But, if they opt in, they are locked in for a minimum of 3 years, and they have to PAY 5% of income.
Its a new tax, a cost for the service.
At 65, the service is free.
But this way, someone can shop their work plan directly against a single payer plan.
private insurance HAS to actually get better, or else everyone leaves.
- 40 year mortgages
Houses cost too much.
But MOST rich people are only rich because of their primary residence.
Millions of home owners have EVERYTHING in their house.
Thats why they are NIMBY.
We gotta make it easier to make these mortage payments, and the first way is longer terms.
- Build more cities (duh)
The only reason we have a housing crisis is state and local government regulations.
But- the fed cant come in and fuck some neighborhood up because it knows better.
So- 5% of federal land will leased to build new cities.
30 year lease, at market rate, UNLESS they build X number of new dwellings.
Then it is forgiven and the developer owes nothing (or something)
This gives us a clawback if they never build shit.
- 100 year treasuries
We have a debt problem.
We cant fix it soon.
This just buys time.
- Limit student loans to a MAXIUM of 2x average yearly salary for a major.
You have to tell the gov what you are studying and where.
Then, they give you a funding number, no question asks.
But total borrowing cant exceed 2x full time yearly salary for that role.
You can still go study dance, but the fed is only on the hook for 30k, not 300k.
- Legalize and regulate (almost) all drugs
Mushrooms + weed?
Same as booze
Id be even more radical and legalize cocaine.
Purity test it, legitimize the supply chain.
Same with MDMA.
- Arrest and jail all fent dealers
Manslaughter charges.
Federal prison.
Same with anyone selling drugs where kids play.
Parks, schools, etc.
- robust treatment centers to be built in the desert.
Not jail, truly designed to make sure people get better and healthy
but they need to be away from city centers where the drugs are.
- No foreign aid until the budget it balanced.
We cant fix the world until we fix our house.
We are living like someone with maxed ur credit cards, donating money to their church.
- No politican can be elected to a third term if the budget isnt balanced
Issue would go away in 1 term.
----
Anyway. I am sort of dumb.
I sell wallets for a living
So share your ideas as well!
I love america
we arent broken. we arent dead.
Things are actually awesome.
but maybe they can be a little better :)
When the government opens back up, we should leave the Department of Education shuttered and return those tax dollars to the states.
Since it was formed in 1980, no aspect of education has improved. My bill, HR 899, would implement President Trump’s stated goal of abolishing it.
@SpencerHakimian Dude their food has gone downhill. If you order steak now only half is edible. Used to be way better quality. Consumers are going elsewhere.
Why Cybertruck for patrol: factory ballistic-resistant door panels, spacious yet nimble packaging, minimal maintenance (regen braking), and no idling fuel burn—lights can run for days. Outcome: higher uptime, lower total cost, and a safer platform officers want to drive.
