If you think singing about them is not as powerful as marching, then you are not a student of history. Fela even barely protested. Fela sang and roasted them at concerts. Barely any protests. Leave these internet narratives and read actual books.

With the type of music BurnaBoy records, especially the ones on the African Giant album, he should be leading this conversation head on, it doesn’t stop with signing the empathetic lyrics and not match your booth with the people that your music claims to understand their pain.
