@SammieB1980 Hi Samantha, I spend hours with my dogs but I'm also a cleaner of the house, shopping man, gardener and general handyman. I'm not sure of the purple paw, I'm away in the Cotswolds at present so will look at it when I get home. Your Black Country too, so am I, born in Stourbridge.

@pcaswell63 @dave_harrell @stuartpalser @PAULBICK1 I've got a bundle of old reels at home Paul, no Shakespeare though, I was never lucky enough to be sponsored by them. I've got some DAM reels though! I have got a brand new never used ABU 507 still in the box somewhere, cost me £24 at the time.

@MandyAstle @BlackCountryBe3 I would hope we get some decent weather in August, we usually do in Wales at that time. It's been 20 years since we last went to Criccieth. Thank you for the very kind comments on my boys, they will try to own the beaches when they tear up and down on the sands up there.

@JackieCrxfd It's really tough, I know how you feel, I've been through it 6 times with previous dogs in my life. Unfortunately it's inevitable when you have a dog, all you can do is make sure they have fantastic lives, I'm sure Alice did.

As well as having my 2 spaniel boys and a crew of visiting badgers & foxes to my garden I also have a fish tank. Today I've bought 2 goldfish to go with my koi carp called Zonk. Now Zonk has been in that tank for 37 years and he didn't make the goldfish welcome. All seems ok now.

@KatieBoo0903 That's what I worried about yesterday Katie, he chased them round the tank for a hour yesterday but all has settled down now.

@Deborah81032355 I put 2 tiny carp in my tank in 1987 Debs. They survived a house move and movements of the tank to different rooms in the house. Unfortunately I lost one of the carp 6 years ago.

@GMBanks @BlackCountryBe3 They are not spoiled silly regards food as that is not good for them but they do occasionally get fresh salmon. It seems though that that's not good enough, fresher wild birds are still the priority

@Celia2575 @BlackCountryBe3 Yes Celia, worrying about our pets is a full time job! Thomas is very lively again today. We get that check on his wound tomorrow, I'm less nervous about that one. All the talk about Thomas and we haven't asked how you are Celia, we hope you are feeling okay.

@Theresehaz Awww thank you. It took a lot of time and effort. Unfortunately he's now disappeared, they do move on though and I've got 2 new foxes who I'm building up trust with again. I've also got 4 badgers coming, they trust me too without coming too close.

Here's my nightly visitor, a few weeks ago he had no fur on his tail due to mange, this is the 4th year Ive treated this same fox for mange and he's recovered each time. Without the treatment he probably wouldn't be here now and during that period we have built up a special trust
