Im Zusammenhang mit Photovoltaik, Windkraft und der Speicherung von Strom in Batterien herrscht in Deutschland allgemein eine gefährliche Naivität und Ahnungslosigkeit.

Nehmen wir an, wir haben eine ganz normale windstille Nacht, die 12 Stunden dauert, und gehen davon aus, dass das Land insgesamt 50 Gigawatt Leistung benötigt. Wasserkraft und Biomasse liefern 10 Gigawatt. Über 12 Stunden müssen wir 40 Gigawatt vorhalten, was bedeutet, dass wir eine Batteriekapazität von 480 Gigawattstunden (GWh) benötigen. Diese Annahme gilt also NICHT für eine 10-tägige Dunkelflaute (240 Stunden).

Wenn wir annehmen, dass die Kosten für Großbatterien bei etwa 250 € pro kWh liegen, belaufen sich die Gesamtkosten für den Bedarf des Landes für eine einzige Nacht auf etwa 120 Milliarden Euro (10 Tage Dunkelflaute: 2,4 Billionen Euro)

Es handelt sich um beträchtliche Mengen an Material. Das Gesamtgewicht der Batterien für eine Nacht wird etwa 2,4 Millionen Tonnen betragen (5 kg pro kWh).

Batterien können nicht mit Kraftwerken konkurrieren, da sie keinen Strom produzieren. Bevor Batterien entladen werden können, müssen sie aufgeladen werden. Wo der Strom dafür herkommen soll, ist unklar. Batterien haben eine begrenzte Lebensdauer und müssen anschließend durch neue Batterien ersetzt werden.

Dunkelflauten mit Batteriespeicher zu überbrücken, ist völlig unrealistisch (20 x meine Zahlen). Schon die Vorhaltung für eine einzige Nacht ist exorbitant teuer. Batteriespeicher eignen sich für Sekunden, Minuten und höchstens ein paar Stunden, mehr nicht.

Die Herstellung von Batteriezellen ist äußerst energieintensiv. Die meisten Batteriezellen stammen aus China und werden hauptsächlich mit Strom aus Kohlekraftwerken hergestellt, da Chinas Strom von fossilen Energieträgern dominiert wird.

Yet a study worryingly suggests that mRNA COVID-19 vaccines may have negative non-specific effects #NSEVac on the risk of other infections.
In this study among health care workers, the more COVID-19 vaccines (almost exclusively mRNA-based) an individual had received, the higher their risk of influenza-like illness.
The study adds to several epidemiological and immunological studies (many of them cited in the paper) showing that mRNA vaccines for a period dampen the immune response to unrelated pathogens and increase the risk of other infections.
These findings underscore the need to assess vaccines for their overall health effects, not just for their effects on the target infection. A protective effect against a non-severe target infection may be completely offset by a negative effect on the risk of multiple other - and potentially more severe - infections.

Good Morning from #Germany, which has become a net importer of electricity after shutting down all of its nuclear power plants.
So far this year, Germany has imported more electricity than it exported on 148 out of 203 days – that's 73% of the time. For comparison: in 2017 it was just 5 days, 11 in 2018, and 102 in 2019.
This trend highlights a key vulnerability: Germany is not well prepared for the AI race, where both the availability and cost of electricity will be critical for staying competitive.

Den 31. august 2021 meldte Lægemiddelstyrelsen ud, at der ikke var menstruationsforstyrrelser efter COVID-19 vacciner.
Der lød: "Mange vil have uregelmæssigheder i deres blødning, som de ikke ville tænke over under normale omstændigheder, men som de tænker over, fordi de lige er blevet vaccineret. Ud fra de data, vi har nu, kan vi sige, at man ikke behøver at være bekymret for blødningsforstyrrelser i forbindelse med vaccinen".
Det kan desværre ikke læses på anden måde, end at Lægemiddelstyrelsen vidste bedre end kvinderne. Det var kvinderne, der bildte sig ind, at der var en sammenhæng.
Nu kommer der endnu et studie, der viser sammenhæng mellem mRNA vacciner og menstrualtionsforstyrrelser, og "kraftig menstruationsblødning" er da også kommet på den officielle liste over bivirkninger til mRNA vaccinerne.

Det burde være stof til eftertanke for alle, herunder pressen. Der er al mulig grund til at tage patientberetninger dybt alvorligt, og som udgangspunkt tro på dem, indtil det modsatte er bevist.
