We have put in a strong submission against OGLs Waihi North Fast-track application - the first of the private profit, non-infrastructures applications to go through the process...

Watchdog just finished our 20 day marathon to submit under Fast Track against the Waihi North Project including the proposed mine under Wharekirauponga - learned so much more about how bad the risks to environment and economically shaky this project is !
@GregPresland@thestandard Gonna guess Oprah, the Tonight Show or any other major mainstream coverage isn’t forthcoming the way it was for the authorised biography!
@farmgeek Love our kiwi muses - apparently someone from fur patrol also expressed their dissatisfaction that he was wearing their tee - not an endorsement they wanted! Be great to see more speak out publicly - he uses kiwi music to try and get credibility, and be more 'relatable'. asshat.
Now taxpayers of Aotearoa will pay for the privilege of multinational miners destroying our environment!!
Whete are your voices on this shocker! Make them sure youll cancel this or you’ll be locked in!

Not one of the 33 budget media releases mentions climate. & climate policies cut yet again.
This is a backwards, scorched earth budget setting NZ on track for social economic and climate hell.
Doesn't have to be this way. Climate spending cleans air, saves lives & creates jobs.
Talk about anti-environment. DOC funding is pitiful in this Budget - a sad indictment of how this Govt views our precious environment... https://t.co/trqDWUmJh1
The rubbish Nicola Willis and the Nact Government expect us to believe: letting the wealthy get wealthier - just for owning property, or industries that harm health & the planet - is necessary & good for us all.
Do they think we’re stupid?
Well, how convenient for the mining industry, eh. why not get the taxpayer subsidising them a bit more. ".. create a new rule allowing businesses to write off 20 percent of the value of new assets - like machinery, tools and equipment in addition to regular depreciation".
neat.
