@marklewismd Got totally called out for that in med school. Internist was droning on about something and I was staring out the window at the med chopper. He wasn't too happy
@drsprs@Sanctuary_Bio I would argue the reverse: far too often expansion teams cellar-dwell for years, and then never achieve liftoff. By making an expansion team strong right out the gate, NHL created a tough new competitor AND ensured success of the franchise. More leagues should do this.
@Biohazard3737 Not sure you can have it both ways. Your argument is about humility in the face of complex biological systems. But editing the genome feels like the most ambitious intervention possible.
@Biohazard3737 how did you find this person, btw? this does sound like ultimate luxury. I deeply resent every minute spent unloading/reloading the dishwasher
@Biohazard3737@Respekchemistry Endorse. There are different business models. Put an ad on a culinary school job board - youโll be flooded with inbounds
@A_May_MD This is 100% the truth. In pharma I saw firsthand how good ideas got torpedoed by some stupid 'market research' and vice versa. The best ideas always had a champion who saw things others didn't, including customers.
