Today @modenetwork moves from Season 2 (points) to Season 3 (veMODE + $2m of OP incentives)

TLDR:

- No more points, $2m in incentives for season 3
- veMODE holders direct incentives to ecosystem apps which must distro to their users
- veMODE is an upgrade to MODE staking and will earn a base APY (approx 50%)

Why is this important?

- users get real yields
- more utility for MODE
- enables active governance participation
- aligns ecosystem users and protocols

When will this be live?

- Season 2 airdrop claimable tonight CET
- Season 3 dashboard updates happening throughout the day
- MODE stakers can upgrade to veMODE from around 4pm CET
- MODE stakers will continue to earn yield on MODE but will need to upgrade to the new veMODE by end of next week
