My ❤️ is so full!
I facilitated a PEN PAL program this year. Students have been writing back and forth 📬
And…we got to meet virtually! The authentic writing practice lead to beautiful engagement but nothing could have prepared us for this abundance of joy🌐 #childhoodmemories

Got to meet some virtual students as they helped release our class butterflies! Grade 2/3 scientists had the special opportunity to observe the metamorphosis stages from start to finish 🐛🦋🌎
Like many teachers this year I haven't had the chance to stop and smell the roses. Delighted to be among this year’s @APHDatOISE teachers for #TeacherAppreciationWeek. Wishing all educators a joy-filled EOY with their class families 🍎✨

I knew suicide rates for Black youth have been rising, especially since the pandemic began. But this lecture by Dr. Benton highlighted many other facts I wasn’t aware of. Gonna share some for folks who are interested.
In our Knowledge Building Circle, I’ve intentionally referred to learners as Experts, quickly establishing their value as individuals coming together. It is heartwarming to see them honour, embody, and see themselves in this role, even through a pivot to virtual! #languagematters
Our Knowledge Building Circle looked a little different on the first snowfall of the school year but, joyfully, Student Experts continued our inquiries in the Learning Garden with new curiosities, wonders, and... snow angels ☃️ #AssetBased#InquiryBasedLearning#EnvironInquiry
