Currently FDK teacher for TDSB. Currently focused on my career, my family, professional development, and travelling when I have the time and the funds to go.
IYKYN, and as a government, you can make decisions that will benefit the future rather than shaming students for underfunding public education and compromising their future! #onpoli
Larger class sizes is a TERRIBLE idea. You do not need a PhD to know this. Large classrooms mean LESS student support.
Removing caps will only make for ballooned classrooms where kids cannot learn. This must be reversed ASAP! Student learning must be the priority! #onted#onpoli
No one shows up to work expecting to be punched, kicked, spit on, or worse, yet that's exactly what's happening inside our classrooms across Toronto. @TDSB, you want to support us? We're counting on you to act quickly to fix this!
Sadly, many classrooms in #OntEd are regularly in the “cognitive function is decreased” zone on this chart. This is reflected in student focus, learning, and academic achievement markers in schools with poor ventilation. It’s well past time to #FixOurSchools.
Let’s be clear no school board would need to close pools, reduce student programs or make cuts if the Ontario government actually funded the public education system to meet students actual needs, provide supports and address underfunding. https://t.co/JOO4KfZSHM #onted#onpoli
How might we draw upon mathematical thinking through culturally relevant offerings? Exploring purposeful math opportunities in play @etfoaq. So happy to see how educators are noticing and naming the mathematics in play and intentionally planning environments that support math.
Students from Ms. Kobric, Ms. Torres, and @sumreenkhan33’s classes supported our kindergarten friends with writing their book fair wish lists in the #SloaneLLC. Thank you for your kindness and leadership!
