Just encountered the best Norfolk fall of my life. Arrived East hills after work. It was INSANE, groups of flycatchers & redstarts made me sporadically break into laughter at how crazy it was, not knowing where to look. Conservative 100 spotted 50 pied, well over 100 redstart!
I don’t think i have seen 100 redstarts in an afternoon before. or 100 spotted flycatchers. or 50 pied flys. or 15 garden warblers. or 10 migrant tree pipits. or 450+ red admirals. a pm of PBs - all in glorious sun. Bunking off work this afternoon = why i turned freelance.
What. A. Day.
This brief Wryneck at Burnham Overy was the tin lid on an epic birding session for @NparsonsNick and me today. Between here and Wells early on, we logged 50 Redstarts, 12 Spot Fly, 11 Pied Fly, 11 Garden Warbler, 50+ WWarbler, 40+ Wheatear, 2 Tree Pipit etc. Mega!
Our minds have been blown this evening by this American Cliff Swallow in front of the Manse on #StKilda! Epic find with biosecurity volunteer Tim Wallis, a first for Western Isles and only the second Scottish record- what a beauty! @HebridesBirds@BirdGuides@rbnUK@N_T_S

What an evenings birding. Saw the Dusky Warbler on Lowestoft North Denes then raced up to Corton for the Siberian Stonechat in the fading light after a call from Rob Holmes. My 314th bird in the Lowestoft area and my 205th for the @patchbirding 10k list this year.
