What if the proceedings of the grievance were germane to issues such as the credibility of witnesses? It makes sense that the outcome shouldn't influence the jury but shouldn't that concern be balanced against relevant info the jury loses?

@markjurgenmayes Some want to give benefit of the doubt, as if they were just doing their jobs, but the motivation for believing it was not evidence. It was self-preservation at Lucy's expense+punishment for the grievance. Half-believing lies doesn't excuse them. That's just how people lie.

@Jabbey20 If Letby's alleged "methods" were so sophisticated, where are her literature searches? The doctors certainly did searches. The "modus operandi" clearly came from them. They invented the M.O. to fit the duty rota.

I could relate to the need for closure of it were that. These people are displaying a darker aspect of human nature.

You will get much more bad press for releasing a guilty person who goes on to reoffend than you will for failing to release an innocent person, especially if the latter quietly dies in prison and most people are none the wiser.
