@dandcaldwell These aren't "strategic nuclear forces" in reserve - these are the Tu-95, Tu-22M3, and Tu-160 bombers "regularly used by Moscow to launch missiles at Ukraine" and have been conducting nightly attacks on Ukrainian cities. They're active conventional warfare platforms..
@MEpiskopos This mischaracterizes both the strategic impact and the targets. These bombers are the same aircraft "Moscow uses to launch long-range missile attacks on Ukraine's cities"- they're actively being used in conventional warfare, not sitting in reserve as nuclear deterrent assets.
We used to have Chumaky — now we have long-range haulers who deliver anything, anywhere in the world.
A brilliant operation by the Security Service of Ukraine. Precision work. Striking results — in every sense of the word.
Grateful to President @ZelenskyyUa , Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Maliuk, and everyone involved in this mission to uphold the nuclear-free status of the aggressor state. A modern version of the Budapest Memorandum — in action.
No target is too far when you’re defending your homeland.
