@SpaceX So how will starship be caught at the tower? Starship launches with heatshield away frkm the tower so that it can fuel, but when it approaches the heatshield will be facing the tower? How do you face the heatshield away from the tower before landing so that it can be refueled?
@elonmusk@realDonaldTrump@elonmusk The American people NEED you working with trump to help fix our system. PLEASE get back in there and work together to keep our economy moving in the right direction.
@Erdayastronaut what if on a test flight, they put a tank in the nose cone for propellent? 150 tons of propellent. Then while in orbit, used that fuel to ignite the inner 3 raptors to flip the starship and perform a retrograde burn with the 3 rvacs? Then used the inner 3 to reorient to the proper trajectory? This should reduce peak heating by around 70%
@elonmusk Can you not use the same material that raptor engine nozzles use? This could be made in larger pieces that can shift with material expansion and contraction.
Using the same design thought process for the starship that you use for the raptor engines!
Now the new flaps will affect trajectory on deacent and ascent. I understand utilizing flaps like wings on a plane during ascent to use the atmosphere to create lift and reduce fuel consumption, but during the coast phase, this can influence trajectory. Unless you abgle both sets of flaps both fore and aft? Much more control on re-entry and allow a nose down approach to "glide".
@Erdayastronaut@elonmusk@AstroAwardsLive@edwards345@Erdayastronaut@elonmusk why doesn't starship use the same technology for the heat shield as the raptor engines use for their nozzles? This could be made in the same method as the stainless steel rings, several large pieces that mechanically fasten to the starship.
@Pilestedt Instead of nerfing guns. Buff our weapons, then a week later introduce a new enemy. Let us have a week of fun just obliterating bugs, then change tactics to tackle the new bugs. Keep this repitition and the player base will continue to have fun while also finding new challenges.
@enslaved1s Keep in mind. Every employment is a mutually agreed contract. You agree to terms you sign. If you dont agree, you counter. And if they deny the counter agreement, you dont work there. Every job is negotiated.
