@AbJrogg@JMeddings Always happy to chat with jon. In point of fact I think jon could be a big part of the solution to health care, but his statement was in fact misleading.
@ABLabourToday They certainly made a poorly administered program worse. Now that we can all see the program needs to be reformed, will carney show the leadership necessary to repair it. Consider me skeptical
@AbJrogg And the best systems like Dutch and swiss are Defacto banned by the CHA. We have the worst kind of two tiered health care in canada. Anyone able to use the equity in their home simply takes out a second mortgage and travels abroad for timely quality care
@AbJrogg Why is Canada Stuck While Others Flourish?Unlike European countries, Canada's system has traditionally taken a "command-and-control" public monopoly approach.
@AbJrogg Surgeries: An astounding 58% of Canadian patients wait two months or more just for elective surgeries, compared to only 20% of patients in countries like the Netherlands.
@mileslunn@X_the_Owl ALL other superior accessible UNIVERSAL HC systems ARE not allowed in Canada under the current CHA. Full stop. it's just not that complicated miles. We could be on the path to fix this in an afternoon
@mileslunn@X_the_Owl then they should fully support Dani, because only the wealthy have access to good health care right now. She and the rest of conservatives are just trying to let average folks get access too.
@mileslunn@X_the_Owl I'm actually only interested in faster care for average folks. The people that have equity in their homes already have access to care. Only the average Canadians suffer with the CHA ruled health care system. That's about as clear as I can make it
@mileslunn@X_the_Owl But they aren't waiting in the same line. Folks simply use the equity in their homes to travel to the USA to recieve treatment from a Canadian trained doctor that was forced to leave Canada and pay taxes in the USA. The longer we stick with the CHA the more doctors we lose. Fact!
@mileslunn@X_the_Owl Of course they wouldn't. Removing 13 billion from there economy every year would be devastating. They'd be forced to develop resources... oh wait. Yes that's exactly what I said before
@mileslunn@X_the_Owl She clearly ran on fixing health care, she just mistakenly thought other Canadians would also want good Healthcare. She got that wrong. Canadians are gluttons for punishment when it comes to healthcare
