Horizon Europe project, which aim is to develop a disruptive nature-based solution for capture of CO2 from the effluent gases of of bioenergy production system
At Necton (@Phytobloom ), raceway trials are currently underway as part of our ongoing efforts to optimise large-scale microalgae production within the COSEC project. These trials are essential for improving biomass productivity. Stay tuned on our progress and results from COSEC!
It’s time for another project partner presentation!
We’re introducing you to CENTI-Centre for Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials. Its mission? To develop and prototype innovative, sustainable materials and products that shape the future of industry.

We want to share that the COSEC project was showcased at the 1st International Congress on Algae Biotechnology, which took place in Lisbon!
Our colleague from @Phytobloom , Mariana Carneiro presented poster on our project: "When Life Gives You Drainwater, Grow Microalgae." #COSEC
Meet the COSEC consortium! 👋
Let’s start with our coordinators - @CyanoCapture, based in the United Kingdom. They lead work on the detailed design, planning and installation of a pilot plant for direct CO2 fixation. #cosec#CO2capture#carboncapture#biomass#HorizonEurope
Happy to announce the new COSEC project work in capturing biogenic CO2 into renewable biomass feedstock thanks to the optimisation studies on CO2 fixation (UAL) and photobioreactor in Almeria and selection of resilient strains for high lipid production by CCMAR.

The COSEC project was present at AlgaEurope 2024!
Thiago Rua from PhytoBloom - Microalgae by Necton who will be involved in the design of the pilot station, presented a poster, where he detailed the project and Necton's role in the project!
