With the passing of Sam Neill, fans are remembering the beloved actors who helped make Steven Spielberg’s 1993 film one of cinema’s most enduring adventures

Though they are no longer with us, their work continues through the scenes, memories, and iconic moments fans revisit more than three decades later.

• Sam Neill — Dr. Alan Grant, the brilliant and reluctant paleontologist who became the heart of the Jurassic adventure. His calm courage, intelligence, and memorable bond with the children made Grant one of the franchise’s defining characters.

• Richard Attenborough — John Hammond, the visionary creator of Jurassic Park whose wonder, ambition, and famous invitation to the island helped launch one of cinema’s greatest adventures.

• Bob Peck — Robert Muldoon, the experienced game warden who understood the danger of the park’s velociraptors better than anyone. His tense final encounter and unforgettable “Clever girl” remain among the film’s most iconic moments.

💔 Sad news this morning: Jurassic Park star Sam Neill has tragically passed away at the age of 78.

To me, this remains one of my all-time favourite movies, a true classic and a massive part of my childhood. Few films capture that sense of wonder quite like it. And it boasts what is arguably the greatest movie theme ever written.

In memory of Sam (and the unforgettable Dr. Alan Grant), here is the legendary John Williams conducting the Vienna Philharmonic in a beautiful live performance of the Jurassic Park theme.

Rest in peace, Sam Neill. Thank you for the magic. 🦕🎶
