Fans at UFC 250 acted with class.
They proudly sang O Canada for Aiemann Zahabi.
Meanwhile, the “Elbows Up” crowd at the FIFA World Cup game in Toronto booed the U.S. anthem.
One side acted petty.
The other showed respect.
That says a lot. 🇨🇦🇺🇸
I never had “getting climbed like a jungle gym by a pack of otters” on my travel bucket list, but apparently that’s a thing now. 😂
Otter cafés have become one of those uniquely viral experiences in Japan. People see a few cute videos online, think it can’t possibly be that adorable in real life, and then end up surrounded by curious little fur missiles demanding attention.
This woman walked in expecting to meet an otter. Instead, she became the official meeting place for every otter in the building. They were on her shoulders, in her lap, nibbling at her hands, and generally acting like they’d known her forever.
Her verdict? Best use of adult money she’s ever made.
I get the appeal. We grew up feeding ducks at the park. Somewhere along the way the internet upgraded that experience to “have six otters use you as a piece of playground equipment.”
What’s the most unexpectedly fun thing you’ve done while traveling? 👇🦦✈️😄
@Juezcentral@RupaliChadhaMD Seems like it would be easier to not make a mess and just put garbage in the trash right off the bat instead of having to pick it up after.
Elon Musk told Disney to go f*** itself. In public.
In November 2023, Disney, Apple, IBM and a wave of major advertisers pulled their campaigns from X. The message was clear: change what you allow on your platform, or lose the money.
He said it directly: "If somebody's gonna try to blackmail me with advertising? Blackmail me with money? Go f*** yourself. Don't advertise."
Then he made his threat just as public: "The whole world will know that those advertisers killed the company and we will document it in great detail."
Most CEOs in that room had never heard another CEO speak like that. Because most CEOs can't. Their boards won't allow it. Their advertisers won't survive it.
Musk had already paid $44 billion for X. No advertiser boycott was going to change that calculus.
"I have no problem being hated," he said. "Hate away."
@Lassimak I’m happy for him. He didn’t want out, considering who he was traded for, the talent is undeniable. If he becomes Martin St-Louis then we may have made a mistake. In the end I think it will be a good trade for all.
@BruceLeVinePuck Very happy for him, still too early to know if it was a bad trade. If Stankoven turns into St-Louis, Dallas blew it. Canes have depth that showed up and scored. They play with speed and pressure. Put pucks on net and generate chances.
🚨Queen’s University law professor Bruce Pardy warns: Mark Carney branded peaceful truckers “seditionists” and “terrorists” simply for protesting Trudeau’s mandates — no violence, just honking horns and parking tickets.
Now as Prime Minister, he’s advancing Liberal hate speech laws that will silence dissent and crush the right to protest.
Every Canadian 🇨🇦 should be deeply worried: our free speech is in grave danger. Wake up! #MarkCarneyMustGo
@sunlorrie Why is it no one can see that this nonsense regarding trade is short term. Whomever is the next president is less likely to be so hostile towards Canada. Americans close to the border and tourist destinations will make it an issue.
@katsuxbt Yeah, hard to live off of 50 million. What would I do with that chump change made on one contract maybe 5-6 years. Then sign two more for even more money.
@TimWarrenTrades I chose “correctly”, after your explanation I agree more. We often do go to worst case scenario. One thing to add, as a father of a daughter also, my job, our job as parents, is to prepare our children to leave. Not move them into the basement. It is an interesting discussion.
@TimWarrenTrades I’m with you, I’m going to wait until we’re closer to $100. May not wait for $90-95. Once there is a moon base SpaceX is going to be worth $$$. Not sure we can quite fathom just how much it will be worth in 20-30 years. Bozos tried a rocket and it blew up. Elon is miles ahead.
