We are shutting down our Chihuahua validator today. Your funds are safe, but should be redelegated to continue receiving rewards. Life happens and we unfortunately can’t continue to run the validator. Thanks for the ride, it’s been fun.
@Cryptonights1@andycjames@Douglas60519339 We don’t officially have slash protection, but we would try to make it right with our delegators if we could. NOM currently has no value, can’t buy it, and our tokens are locked/jailed too. There’s nothing we can do until Nomic updates the software. Sorry, this sucks for everyone
@andycjames@Douglas60519339 Our node is running but the issue now is with NOM blockchain not allowing anyone to unjail. There is supposed to be an update next week to fix that, as well as add features like redelegation. It’s in the hands of the NOM developers. We aren’t the only validators stuck like this.
@4coffeeihadbrk@nomicbtc It looks like there’s no option to unjail a validator either. We have a new node catching up but no way to unjail when we sync. This is a NOM issue that no other tendermint chain has a problem with. 🥲
@seppwurscht @nomicbtc Our notifications were not firing for NOM, the server filled up, and now it’s dead. Tried a restore yesterday but that failed too. Will need to rebuild soon. Unfortunately I’m currently sick so progress is slow. Sorry everyone.
While we support increasing the max @ChihuahuaChain validators, and think many validators from 80-110 are well involved and need to be supported, we don't think it is a good idea to jump straight to 125. We will vote YES for an increase to 110, but are voting NO to 125.
To ensure we can maintain the new infrastructure we’ve increased our LUM commission to 3%. The goal is to eventually settle at 5%, but we haven’t required a lot of power to validate LUM yet, so we’re holding off in order to pass the savings on to our delegators as long as we can.
@nbaplayertips It takes 28 days to unbond once you press “undelegate.” If you only want to change validators, pressing “redelegate” will change validators instantly (but have a 28 day unbonding time in the background if you were to try to re-redelegate). Hope that helps!
