We went from 2 people figuring things out to a real team with internal workflows and the product we're about to drop reflects every bit of that growth.
Ryo was just the beginning.
Kyomi——『yuyo』
Size: 490mm*420mm
Specification: 1.5mm glass + 0.7mm custom silicone base
Type: Extreme Speed PerformanceSurface
Type: Coating
In addition to changing its size from the extra-large 500mm x 450mm to the mainstream 490mm x 420mm, Yuyo has also completely changed the style of its surface. It is completely different from the radical RYO, Use more compact and denser etched texture to create the surface, which is more in line with our impression of traditional glass pads in terms of touch. At the same time, the tactile feedback from the surface is also weaker during gliding. At the same time, the surface texture provides a weaker feedback during gliding.🧐
Moreover, Yuyo is also a new product focused on speed performance. It has excellent surface properties and provides extremely low dynamic friction and gliding resistance. As a result, we get a fast start-up speed and gliding speed.the thin coating doesn't create any extra stickiness, making changes of direction and fine-tuning very smooth,The feel is lighter and swift.
Although the Yuyo offers less controllability compared to the Ryo, it still maintains a certain level of controllability despite its already extremely high speed performance. However, it can be fairly challenging for beginners to get used to.Particularly in braking, the Yuyo's surface is more resistant to force, resulting in a smoother braking feel and a less pronounced deceleration sensation when pressing the mouse.
In terms of both use experience and actual gliding tests, Yuyo also demonstrated amazing dynamic friction and was slightly faster than Ryo, especially in terms of start-up speed, where Yuyo was noticeably faster than Ryo.
If you don't like the rough feedback of the RYO, but like its speed, then I think the yuyo is a pretty good choice, because it does offer a similar speed to the ryo, but with a completely different use experience.
Also,I would also like to share my thoughts on Yuyo's art design.
Yuyo's art design comes from the illustrator @BLO_O_M_ , whose ethereal and melancholic style I greatly admire. She is also the creator of the art design for DYSPHORIA MAKI. At the same time, as a Chinese person, I am naturally pleased to see the plum blossom element used on the mousepad.
However, I also like ryo's medieval fantasy fairy tale style. I think the adventure of dragons and knights still has the potential to continue creating. Each painting that continues this theme can be a new chapter. I really hope that this setting will continue in the future.
Oh, I almost forgot. I've already confirmed with Kyomi that the retail version of Yuyo also includes a 3% chance of receiving a random gold card, which can be redeemed for their next product release. Good luck to all buyers!!🍀🍀🍀
