The death of Sarah Everard is horrific.

80 women have been murdered, where the suspect is a male since Sarah was killed.

This is not an isolated murder. This is a culture of misogyny entrenched throughout our society and services that are designed to keep us safe.

I’ve been following this trial and Its just horrific! This man brutally murdered a women 20 years ago but was acquitted by a jury. He then went on to murder another women. Why?? Because he had a hatred for prostitues and ultimately saw women as inferior and weak.

2020 has been a difficult year for us all. For woman living with domestic abuse it’s been horrific, with perpetrators taking advantage of isolation. So many have suffered and lost their life due to domestic abuse.

In lockdown (23rd March- 31st May) we saw refuge places reduce by 42%! At the time women needed a place of safety more than ever, they were reduced! We can’t allow the same to happen in 2021. So please share this, let’s get the message out far and wide. We demand more ✊🏻
