For Black History Month, I’m celebrating the history of Black Cowboys & Black Western Culture! @rollingstone spoke with Flemons about “Old Town Road,” the yee-haw agenda, the cultural history of black cowboys, & the musical history of black country music.

@alaskastardust Since you’re a fellow Candy Roaster aficionado, I wanna hear the hollerin when Tony says “Candy Roaster squash” over an image of some random mutant gourd growing from the compost heap🤣🤣🤣
Now I get to say I was featured on the same podcast as a chef who worked for NOMA and The chef who (in my opinion) is revitalizing West Virginian food to the highest degree.
Sorry not sorry for the team brag but this feature dessert was 🔥🔥🔥🔥 (as was this whole collab)

For the record, Republican Congressman Max Miller said Gaza would be turned into a “parking lot.”
GOP Congressman Brian Mast said Palestinian civilians are like Nazis.
Republican senators Graham and Cotton said “level” Gaza and “bounce the rubble.”
But they censured Tlaib.
Heart to Heart Salad. Smoked deer heart. Sorrel. Green Oxheart tomatoes. Charred melon. Chili oil. Buttermilk dressing. Salted purslane, which we’ve dubbed “Appalachian sea beans” because when i tasted it, that’s what it reminded me of.

Cornbread.
On the left is Amy’s Bloody Butcher. It’s a deep burgundy crimson red dent variety introduced to the settlers in the Virginia area in the 1840s grown at Lost Creek Farms.
On the left is my @ansonmills cornbread. As sweet as honey like I like it.
