Can we all take a few seconds to help celebrate this sweet girl's THIRD time ringing the çançer bell?!
After three b@ttles with çançer, this 7-year-old has finally finished çhemótheråpy, her scans are CLEAR, and tomorrow she's going HOME!
Her name is Nova Stafford, and if you knew what this child has endured, you'd understand why today's celebration means so much.
Nova previously b@ttled retinoblastoma, a çançer of the eye. Doctors had to remove one of her £y£s, and she now has a prosthetic £y£.
But that didn't stop Nova from being a Beyoncé-loving, Ulta-shopping little girl who just wanted to enjoy her childhood.
Then, in January, she began experiencing t£rr!ble leg pa!n.
Her parents drove through a snowstorm to get her to St. Jude in Memphis, where they received the dev@stating news that çançer had returned.
In June, surgeons removed Nova's right f£mür and knee and replaced them with an internal prosthes!s.
For months, she was confined to a wheelchair, enduring çhemótheråpy while strüggl!ng with pa!n so severe that even trying to stand brought her to t£ars.
Today, after 263 days in Memphis, three surgêriës, 18 rounds of çhemothérapy, 21 weeks of hospital admissions and 15 bl⁰⁰d and plat£let transfüs!ons, Nova rang that bell!
Her latest scans show NO EVIDENCE OF D!S£ASE!
And tomorrow, she's finally going home.
Matisha says she's especially grateful because she met mothers during their time in Memphis who never got the chance to bring their children home.
Now she's praying for the opportunity to watch Nova simply be a child again.
Britney wanted the world to know on my page how loved this little girl is, and I can't think of a better way to celebrate than filling this post with congratulations for Nova and her family.
Please pray that her scans remain clear, that her leg continues healing, and that this third victory marks the beginning of a long, healthy childhood.
Would you help us celebrate "Super Nova Girl" and leave her a message she can read with her mom?
I actually cannot believe high school girls are still having to take it upon themselves to enact change against an obvious injustice.
Not the adults, or the coaches, or the Governor, or the sporting governing body...the 14 year old girls.
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9: 6
Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Isiah 5: 20
