All Indian state policies and priorities suddenly make sense when you realise what the true sole purpose of the Republic is:

To prevent the one-sided low-intensity civil war at the grassroots (which started with the Moplah genocide and peaked with Direct Action Day and Noakhali) from escalating into a full-blown civil war by:

- Investing all state capacity towards preventing Hindu historical awareness, consolidation, and thus, retaliation.

- Increasing internal faultlines by pampering the ethno-narcissism of those groups which played the least role in resistance to Turkic and European occupation and colonisation, by encouraging a blood libel against members of Hindu society, so as to shield the collaborators of foreign imperialism from a societal backlash.
- Bribing violent separatist "minorities" and other colonial collaborators to not openly rebel against the state, through preferential access to state patronage and welfare, so that they merely degrade, demoralise, convert, and kill Hindus instead, on taxpayer money.
- Proving Jinnah's 'Two Nation Theory' wrong by apologising for limiting Dar-ul-Islam to merely Pakistan and Bangladesh, by giving Sharia an even more elevated status than in Islamic countries, so as to redirect the ire of extremist Mullahs and terrorist groups away from the state institutions and towards Hindu civilians instead.
- Disguising their fear of victory in this civil war as Gandhian pacifism, 'ahimsa', and moral superiority, and thus act apologetic and defeated even in their moments of victory, lest the public gain too much self-respect, shed their docility and demand a better future.
- Creating the conditions for a 'peaceful' handover of power to a future Islamic Republic in 100 years, rather than taking the risk of embarrassing this 'superior race' and 'natural ruling class' by defeating them once and for all in a long-delayed, nation-building, decolonial war of national liberation.
