It's the start of GAY PRIDE MONTH. As an older gay man I'm not proud.
My generation fought SO hard for assimilation, NOT distinction.
WE ACHIEVED IT.
We just wanted to have the same rights as anyone else. We wanted equality in the workplace, society, the right to marry, have children, families and be regular members of society after years of indescribable persecution, emotional and psychological damage.
WE GOT THAT.
No one cared anymore. We won.
Future generations destroyed everything we worked so hard to create for FOR THEM.
They alienated the public through their ridiculous antics and gender politics to the point that I would not be caught dead at a PRIDE event or associate myself with the rainbow flag, or anything to do with the
community they have hijacked.

But they are controlled by the party. Those parties have values.

In EVERY county, R and D, there is a kingpin. The kingpin is known in the inner circle, but not known to the general public, and retains power for years and decades. Candidates must pay homage to the kingpin to get the go ahead. They can win if they don't, but it is much more difficult. Then they battle behind closed doors w the county party. I've lived in many counties and seen this. Sometimes there are coups, and the kingpins get overthrown.

What I am saying is there is a machine behind candidates and you are always voting for a faction within the party which is far bigger than the individual.

In the GOP, there are two separate parties. I dont vote R just because it says R because sometimes those Rs are really Ds, and yes that happens all the time at the local level.

I view Ds as the party of force. What VALUES did Sahid have that you shared?

Darializa Avila Chevalier prides herself on removing the J. Marion Sims statue in Central Park and treats that as proof of her moral superiority. The modern narrative her socialist cult pushes rips all of that out of context. They zoom in on the ugliest, most painful part of the story... his experimental operations on enslaved women... without ever acknowledging that those women were brought to him already destroyed by that horrific childbirth injury.

They strip away the reality of 1840s medicine in the Deep South, where surgery was brutal for everyone and vesicovaginal fistula was a life‑ruining condition with no real cure, and then treat his crude, early attempts to fix it as nothing but sadism.

There is no serious effort to weigh how common harsh surgical practice was at the time, what options actually existed in that setting, how surgery worked before modern anesthesia, or how many women later had their lives given back by techniques and instruments that grew out of that work. Those complexities are erased and replaced with a simple, politically useful script... "Sims was just a racist butcher whose “achievements” deserve only condemnation."

It’s revisionist history aimed at degrading white men and turning our own national story into nothing but a catalog of crimes. And the fact that a congressional candidate like Darializa Avila Chevalier treats tearing down his statue as a top credential tells you exactly what kind of “leadership” she’s offering... not building anything better, but vilifying the people who built this country and teaching you to despise the civilization she’s standing on.
