I only want to walk half a mile to the main road. There is no footpath and cars pass far too close at speed on a narrow 60mph road with no verges. It is the only local main road without a footpath. Lets get a footpath in. https://t.co/MUgWOJ3XKQ @cotgraveroad
@FarmersWeekly why is their no UK or other veg in Morrison’s supermarket in Nottingham? wasn’t shortage meant to be just a freak February thing? 7pm on 12th June 2023: buying dinner after work these days looks hazardous…any insights?
Cotgrave Road gets a 50mph speed limit. Planning notices are issued and work is proposed for 2021 first quarter. The one thing missing is a pedestrian footpath: even at 50mph this is a dangerous walk for pedestrians. https://t.co/snnGTuGbyq
Only of interest to people in Tollerton (everyone else can stop reading). Get a Tollerton email forwarding address. Details at https://t.co/DJ6uov32RN. It can forward to up to 4 addresses.
50mph speed limit planned for Cotgrave Road next year. Check on progress at https://t.co/J2BvRm6W5s and don’t forget we still need a footpath in there https://t.co/snnGTuGbyq
@CMO_England Where is the advice about risks of meeting up with multiple households, one after another? A person may meet up with 6 people, then move to another home, another 6 meet, another home, another 6 meet...soon they’ve been with 30 people in the same day...
@CMO_England The bit of the new guidance that is the least clear is the need for any visitors indoors at home to stay 2M from others: given that the majority of rooms in peoples homes are not that big everyone at the get together likely need to be wearing a mask...
Just up from Cotgrave Road, footpaths lead up towards Clipston and go through the fields. The harvesting is giving way to gathering the straw just now... look for local paths https://t.co/PrCgCrtmAx
@WeAreCyclingUK Nice but @cotgraveroad pedestrians have to walk in the road: no footway and no verge. Cyclists and vehicles (sometimes at the same time) pass me as I walk to face oncoming traffic at great speed within arms length. How can this be improved?
Apparently there have been many reports to Notts County Council about ploughed footpaths and with limited resources, chasing all up has been an issue. The Little Lane path will be cleared when the whole field is harvested over the next couple of weeks.
Anyone know what happened to the right of way footpath running from Little Lane in Tollerton? The OS map and sat images show it: but this year it is ploughed and crops growing. @NottsCC@Rushcliffe can it be reinstated?
@NottsCC Many thanks to the Notts Rights of Way Team for contacting the landowner to get the footpath restored. The same field has another path running in a different direction that is clear, so not sure why one path is OK and the other not...
@NottsCC Is there any update on restoring this right of way on cotgrave road? has been reported to the rights of way team. The bean plants have grown significantly after the rain and very hard to walk unless a path is open.
Still unable to access the signed right of way leading from Cotgrave Road towards Tollerton. The sign points into a hedge and beyond the field is growing a crop. @NottsCC@Rushcliffe it has been many weeks since it was reported.
Dont forget: there is a great way to get to @HostessPub by using the footpaths that run over the fields from Normanton, Plumtree, Cotgrave and lead to Tollerton. If you forgot where the paths run, see https://t.co/xiyxRaZd8c
I see the Air Hostess Pub @hostesspub has a great video on their website showing how things work with COVID-19. New Twitter for a New Pub https://t.co/4N3MkWyYde To follow the pub, don’t forget to use @hostesspub as the “old” twitter account for the pub is no longer active...
Did you know that a huge Government consultation is online which will affect how everyone uses the roads? pedestrians, cyclists, drivers, horse riders? https://t.co/pfSzdQCFpY
