1). Persetujuan bulat dari seluruh fraksi DPRD Jabar, atas usulan ini. didasari semangat untuk melestarikan identitas historis dan kultural Sunda yang dinilai semakin terkikis oleh batas administratif modern.

2). Para pengusul meyakinkan bahwa potensi kerumitan penyesuaian dokumen birokrasi hanyalah persoalan teknis biasa yang dapat diatasi secara bertahap, layaknya perubahan nama Ujung Pandang menjadi Makassar di masa lampau.

3). Kendati telah mendapat dukungan penuh di tingkat daerah, proses pergantian nama ini tidak bisa dilakukan secara instan karena harus menempuh prosedur panjang sesuai UU Nomor 23 Tahun 2014.

4). Saat ini, Pemprov Jawa Barat tengah menelaah naskah akademiknya dan mempersiapkan tahapan legislasi selanjutnya, mengingat keputusan mutlaknya nanti tetap berada di tangan Pemerintah Pusat.

5). Bersamaan dengan momentum ini, DPRD juga mengimbau agar penamaan ruang publik, tempat wisata, hingga calon Daerah Otonomi Baru (DOB) mulai menggunakan identitas lokal alih-alih sekadar memakai penunjuk arah mata angin.
