@freeSpeachMann@HoaryHead1611@MartyrsOfChrist@The_Cathodox@ErickYbarra3@Talonthepapist Beautiful verses — Catholics agree with you my friend. It’s not an either/or situation — Jesus is the ultimate foundation and Peter is the visible Rock on earthy assigned by Jesus himself. Peter is only a rock cuz he is firmly anchored to THE Rock, Jesus Christ
@freeSpeachMann@HoaryHead1611@MartyrsOfChrist@The_Cathodox@ErickYbarra3@Talonthepapist Same, and I’m not trying to convert you but you should reconsider your rejection of the Catholic Church
- What was the 1st church?
- Which pope and can you show the full context?
- Mary was a perpetual virgin & never sinned — you gotta exegete the text better
@JustinTime82313@Rhology@Acts17David@JayDyer@grok The state of Protestants today is sad — they don’t even agree with their forefathers. Even Luther believed Mary was sinless — I had a Prot say Mary sinned at the wedding in Cana when that event is actually evidence of her intercession lol
@weeZZ_L@BishopJaxi I read all your comments — I’ll only respond to this one cuz you were just expressing yourself, not necessarily refuting anything. To bring our conversation back to task and hopefully shorten our discussion:
What did you mean by this? 👇
@weeZZ_L@BishopJaxi No new info in terms of something I don’t already know— relax, bud
You said “terms before doctrines”
If that’s the cases, did Christians start believing in the Trinity when someone coined the word — or did they believe it first and later come up with a word to describe it?
@weeZZ_L@BishopJaxi You’re not giving any new info
Do you believe a doctrine only exists if the exact theological term appears in the text— or do you accept that doctrines can be expressed without using their later technical labels?

lol “false equivalences”
Jesus = fulfillment of the Davidic Kingdom = Mary is the Queen of that Kingdom = Queen of Heaven
If not, explain who the women is that John saw in Rev 11:19 & 12:1-2? In the original Greek text there is no chapter break— so Johns vision flows directly from the Ark to the woman— so it would read back to back like verses below
@weeZZ_L@BishopJaxi All this is a distraction — did you lose interest in your logic used to refute the OP or do you concede that doctrines like Immaculate Conception can be clarified over time without being invented?
@weeZZ_L@BishopJaxi No Christian tradition woth it’s salt thinks someone secretly forged a creed around 500 and slipped it into history
Your claim borders on conspiracy—unless you provide evidence
The creed today is traditionally called the Nicene Creed cuz it’s the creed of Nicaea— completed and reaffirmed by Constantinople. 381 expanded on the Holy Spirit cuz of new controversies that arose— this is exactly the Catholic argument about doctrinal development, which aligns with the IC of Mary
“So, the current creed came 175 years later than you claimed” — strengthens my case against your original claim to the OP
@weeZZ_L@BishopJaxi You know you’re changing the subject, right? I can jump with you but now you’re shifting instead of addressing the issue in your logic which is:
Is a doctrine invented when it is formally defined?
