Did you see the Coug flag on TV during the @Seahawks game Sunday night? That was Jason Fox, ’96 sociology. Jason even found another Coug in the same section, Cameron Oppelt, current @CarsonCollege MIS major (right on 2nd photo).
Jason Fox: “My brothers and friends have had season tickets for the #Seahawks since 1997. I have been to many of the games over those years to include all 4 NFC Championship games.
Some of our seats have migrated closer to the middle of the Hawks nest in the north end zone over the last few seasons and provided the ultimate spot to fly the Cougar flag and this game was the perfect setting to make it happen. I originally planned on doing this at the Thursday night game in December against the Rams but I forgot the flag at home. This just worked out better -given the circumstances and greater exposure!”
"Cameron’s dad is a good friend of my brother Bill and a Coug grad from sometime early 80’s. We actually only met at the game through my brother’s contact. Our seat location at the bottom row of the Hawks nest right in the middle of the north goal posts were ideal to fly Ol’ Crimson so I just had to do it," Fox said.
Cameron Oppelt – “My grandma bought me a ticket to the game so I could go with my dad's (Mark Oppelt, alumni 1985) high school friends. Jason wanted everyone to know where he is and the best way to do it was show our Cougar pride. It has been a fun and crazy experience!” 🐾 #WSU #GoCougs
Hard to describe how proud I am of this Cougar team. The heart, grit and toughness they’ve shown in this game and the lead up to it is a testament to the Cougar ethos. Sometimes you just have to tell the non believers to GFY and go out fighting. #GoCougs#LFG
There is no P4 and G5. There are about 12 programs who want to shut out about 90 programs, and there's about 20 who get a free pass for doing nothing but have the correct letters on their 25 yard line.
