Chair of @thebarcouncil Richard Atkins QC calls indefinite detention "a stain on our justice system"
MPs must take this opportunity to end it

@DavidLammy Well said. I, for one, am sorry for the abuse you've been receiving lately. Keep doing your job with decency, thoughtfulness and integrity.
Civil disobedience has been used for centuries to challenge injustice. The Stanstead 15's campaign against brutal charter flight deportations was simply another example of this. These unprecedented terrorism charges were a threat to our right to protest

Today should have been Trayvon Martin’s 24th birthday – but his life was ripped from us too soon in a grotesque act of violence and bigotry. In his memory, we must recommit ourselves to ending racism and gun violence.
Meanwhile, it's a good week to bury the news that Google just got its hands on the personal data of 1.6 million NHS patients. Without their consent. Having promised this would never happen. On account of it being "unethical"

Why the gov's "will of the people" Brexit mantra is bollocks:
1. Vote Leave cheated.
2. It was based on lies e.g. £350m for NHS.
3. Only 37% of the electorate voted for it.
4. Scotland & London voted against.
5. 69% say Brexit is going badly.
6. Public supports a #PeoplesVote.
