@JesseLonis I am the king of bubble, I tell myself each time I am short just wait 15 min and I am good, each godamn time I canโt help myself and I raise and of course I bubble ๐คฃ and each time I say the same thing. What in the fuck did I just do? ๐
@RealKidPoker I believe there would be many more who would have lots of bracelets if they didnโt take care of their kids and/or built a meaningful career.
@ChancesCards 100 millions yes for a shot clock. It should be there as soon as you get into the money. Would love to get that from the get go. There is enough bank for eveyone to take some time to think.
@JoshuaArieh@jeremyausmus@JayFarber I was just about to say that ๐ ๐ ๐ we old school learn the hard way. Let me guess this must be a game from someone from California ;)
Poker players are some of the most entertaining people on my feed. ๐ They act like they know everything and somehow appoint themselves as the official police of markups and bankroll ethics. I keep them all around though. theyโre way too entertaining to unfollow. I mean shit if someone wants to pay what ever they grown up adults. I will pay 4.0 for you to play a $200 event ๐ just so you suffer
Why is the WSOP adding more and more high-stakes tournaments every year?
Is it to keep the bracelet race alive? To create more opportunities for a small group of 30-40 elite players to compete against each other and brag about who is the best?
The reality is that almost nobody who consistently plays only the highest buy-in tournaments with their own money wins in the long run. The variance is simply too high. Even world-class players can go years without showing a profit, and eventually the math catches up to most of them.
Maybe 1 out of 100 players actually comes out ahead over time. The rest are battling enormous swings, relying on backing deals, or slowly giving money back to the ecosystem.
Iโm not criticizing the players many of them are incredible. Iโm just wondering whether these events are truly growing the game or simply creating more expensive competitions for a very small group at the top so they can brag about themselves winning more bracelet. This is like Hollywood with their own award show to themselves.
