New episode! This time we talk to Adam Blank from @Caltech about master's degree only teaching faculty by discussing what a job title should mean. https://t.co/g8pG9UJ2Yh
As I mentioned in my talk at GraceHopper last year, my association with the conference is pure unadulterated gaslighting. And after my talk last year @AnitaB_org decided to double down. Shame.
One of the best parts of being a prof is hearing from alumni and what they're up to. Had a favorite prof in college (or even just one whose class meant a lot to you?) reach out to them once in a while and let them know. They want to hear from you :)
If you are straight and cisgendered, over the next few years you may start seeing and hearing LGBTQ people a lot less.

For everyone teaching this term: do you recommend students to go to the Accommodations Office at your uni? If you do, are you aware of what that process looks like? Hint - the process is not good. It is not empowering. It is costly, time consuming, and demoralizing. 1/10
