Brewers made good beer for centuries without knowing what yeast was. Language models are in the same position. #AI#Interpretability opens the model; agentic stemmatics compares the outputs of many. Could they check each other? A proposal, not a result: https://t.co/NSH2FU9lkU
"It may already be too late for negotiations with Russia"
- Aaron Maté explains to Americans that the best moment to secure peace was missed long ago.
"The problem is that Ukraine has long been used as an instrument of proxy warfare against Russia. And now we are seeing the consequences. Ukraine cannot defend itself against Russian missiles. The country is facing a grim winter as its energy infrastructure comes under attack. It is a tragedy, and I sympathize with Zelensky, but in my view, the key point is that opportunities to end this war existed long ago. In the early weeks of the war, a peace agreement was reached between Ukrainian and Russian representatives. The very fact that these negotiations took place refutes the claim that Russia intended from the start to wipe Ukraine off the map and strip it of its sovereignty. After all, negotiations began almost immediately and were successful.
Ukrainian negotiator Oleksandr Chalyi stated: 'We found a very real compromise.' So, what happened? The US and the UK blocked the process and made it clear to Zelensky that they would not support him if he concluded a peace agreement with Russia. They believed they could inflict a crushing defeat on Russia on the battlefield. This came at the cost of many Ukrainian lives and, quite possibly, the long-term future of Ukraine itself. I do not know what terms Russia would agree to now. I think it may well be too late for negotiations."
A vendor just published which other companies' models helped build its model's training data: who wrote it, who selected it, who judged it. Seven names on the EU form. More in the report. What that does and does not tell you about the model:

Your ad blocker could fit behind your router.
meet ESP32-C3 AdBlock, an open-source DIY DNS ad blocker by ZedAxis, built around a roughly $2 ESP32-C3 Super Mini board
inside: 400 KB of RAM, 4 MB of flash, built-in Wi-Fi and a USB adapter, tucked into a printed case
no subscription
no browser extension
no separate power brick
plug it into your router’s USB port for power, connect over Wi-Fi and set it as your DNS server to block listed ad and tracker domains.
compact 40-bit hashes save RAM. a web dashboard lets you check blocked requests and add domains,
while open-source code and case files let you build your own.

BBC reporter: Do you admit that Russia is waging a covert hybrid war against European countries?
Lavrov: Are you referring to when we destroy the drones and missiles that Britain and Europe supply to Ukraine, which are then fired at us? Is that what you mean by hybrid war?
The guts of the EU to accuse Russia of hybrid warfare while it actively supplies a state weapons to target our civilians.
Trump: "I'm rejecting their deal. They want to make a deal where they open the strait immediately ... we're winning tremendously. We have total control of the Hormuz Strait ... that deal would not be acceptable. They want to immediately open the Hormuz Strait."
Ummmmm ....What?
Someone make this make sense because I am ag a complete loss.
Does this man not understand how ridiculous he sounds?
Most AI code review today is just playing a slot machine. 🎰Thomas Dullien (OpenAI) pointed out that LLMs have ended the period of "semantic determinism". Every prompt change is a hypothesis test: https://t.co/BAU3IAVK9z
Jev, a new AI model of #Safescript never writes a word. Who grades its answers? The average of two other AIs.
We opened the 20 cases the vendor publishes. The two graders disagreed with each other in 8 of 19. https://t.co/zIxcRSu3UW
Finding vulnerabilities got cheap. The rest of the #vulnerability lifecycle not. The CRA now attaches article numbers, and 24h/72h/14-day clocks, to the stages that break: assess, decide, report. Where does adversarial review sit? Not where you'd think:

"Adversarial code review" now means one AI checking another. Better than a model grading itself. Not independence. Read here more about the limitations: https://t.co/2nVmIim5cf

The A.S.E Benchmark doesn’t survive contact with a Real Codebase🚨... Two independent studies just tested AI vulnerability scanners outside the comfort zone of curated datasets.... and the results don’t travel.

Code written by an AI model and reviewed by the same model has been reviewed by nobody. CounterProof is an independent adversarial review practice for modern codebases — machine-written code above all. Check out our website: CounterProof — independent adversarial code review
